Commentary: Savings Spreadsheet Activity

 

            This activity goes along with the Credit and Amortization Spreadsheet Activity .  I often assign different students different interest rates or time periods and make the tables on the board, so they can look for patterns.  The patterns can be hard to find, sometimes because they are approximate and sometimes because they are just difficult.  The questions are designed to get students thinking about some of the properties of exponential functions. 8/05
