Commentary: Teacher from Another Place (Writing Assignment)
This is a fun assignment, where students had to imagine themselves operating in another base system entirely. They had a lot of choice in how to package their work, and some had a lot of fun with the assignment. A few struggled to catch on and had to redo the paper, which caught some of their misunderstandings about other bases. In the future, if I use this assignment again, I’ll wait so that it can cover more operations, which will also allow students to approach the assignment from different levels of understanding. 7/05
