Commentary: Notes on
This is one version of a handout for the beginning of the semester (from a combinatorics class). Many students start out thinking that reading a math book should be like reading a novel and thus don’t realize that struggling is part of the process. The handout addresses such misconceptions and helps set expectations. 7/05
